New to Yoga?

Yoga is a practice of focusing on your breath to change the current state of the body and the mind. Yoga includes body postures and movements, breathing techniques, and the practice of meditation; creating stillness in the mind. Yoga is not a religion and does not adhere to any specific religion. Yoga is a journey of coming to know yourself better and is for both men and women of any age.

A note here for individuals with injury: please get permission from your Doctor before attending classes. You will want to start with Gentle classes before moving back into more challenging classes.


  • Children 16 years and older, with Adult, may attend

Class Etiquette:

  • Please arrive 5-15 minutes before class. 

  • No late attendance accepted

  • No Cellphones - leave them in your car!


Yoga Mat Rental:

  • We rent yoga mats for $2 cash


Do's and Don'ts:

  • Try not to eat 2-3 hours before class

  • Do not wear strong perfumes or colognes

  • Do not smoke cigarettes before coming to class; the smell is strong and lingers on your clothes.

  • Leave your cell phone in your car

  • Bring a water bottle to Hot Classes

  • Do come to learn

How to pick the right class for me:

  • Don't got to a class above your skill level

What is a novice yoga student:

  • someone who has never practiced yoga in a studio space

What is a beginner yoga student:

  • someone who has practiced at home, but not in a yoga studio

  • someone in their first year of continuous yoga practice

  • someone who has not practiced in awhile

What are Warm and Hot Yoga Classes:

  • We heat our classroom to a toasty 85-95 degrees 

  • Not for novice students

  • Not for those who have high/low blood pressure, had a stroke, or has heart disease

  • Not for pregnant women

  • Increase Flexibility: Yoga can help individuals with various forms of Arthritis and joint pain.


  • Build Strength: You use your own body's weight to gain more useable strength. Many students notice a leaner body figure with higher muscle defintion.


  • Yoga is body movement that focuses on the breath. And Pilates is modeled on many yoga poses that strengthen the body.


  • Yoga poses are known as 'Asanas' and are often called by their Sanskrit names.


  • Meditation: Yoga helps to quiet the Mind.


  • Some styles of Yoga create a 'profuse heat within the body,' also known as sweating. These styles include Hatha, Ashtanga, Vinyasa Flow, Core and Hot Yoga, to name a few.


  • Yoga is NOT a religion or a cult! Everyone can practice yoga.


  • Yoga slows the aging process by keeping the joints flexible and hydrated! Most new students come in complaining of aches and pains; often students feel a huge difference in their bodies within the first month of weekly practice! What do you have to lose?
