Yoga Class Descriptions

Yoga is a practice of creating flexibility, learning to focus on your breath, and finding a quiet state of mind. Below, we have tried our best to describe the style of our classes and what you would experience.

Gentle Yin

Gentle movements that help you feel better. We will explore a range of postures that offer you the time to breath and let go of the physical tension that you are carrying in your body. Yoga props you may want to have: blocks, strap, bolster, blanket.

Gentle Stretch

Take the time to really stretch your body out. We will offer yoga postures that offer range of motion for the body’s largest muscles. This may include standing and seated postures with movement and breath controlled guidance. Yoga props you may want to have: blocks, strap, blanket.

Flow Into Stretch

Yoga basics with movement, balance, and strength. This class offers moderately paced movements to develop your vinyasa (flow) skills. Balanced with standing and floor stretches to round out this all skill levels class. Yoga props you may want to have: blocks, strap, bolster, blanket.

Flow Into Yin

Yoga basics with movement, balance, and strength. This class offers moderately paced movements to develop your vinyasa (flow) skills. balanced with yin yoga postures to deepen your flexibility. Yoga props you may want to have: blocks, strap, bolster, blanket.

Restorative

Take it easy….very gentle movements focused on breath and relaxation. Similar to yin yoga, this class will allow you time to stay in the postures to reap the greatest potential for your connective tissue. This is where flexibility is created. Yoga props you may want to have: blocks, bolster, blanket.

Barefoot Flow Level 1

for beginners to the practice of vinyasa flow. learn how to move with your breath.

Barefoot Flow Level 2

A slow vinyasa flow that keeps you moving across your mat from standing to seated. For beginners wanting to challenge themselves and for intermediate students.

Barefoot Flow Level 3

The toughest of our vinyasa flow offerings. Be ready to sweat and breath deeply. This constantly moving class will challenge intermediate students. No headstands or handstands.

Outdoor Yoga

find movement of body in nature under a beautiful sycamore tree. sweaty. bring your mat, water, towel, and bug spray. social distancing will be honored. no face mask is required. arrive 5 mins early.

Sun and Moon Flow

a class that explores the balance of yang and yin. Sun salutations are practiced to warm up the body with yang energy and movement. Then, we will move into a slow flow yin practice of Moon Salutations. Meditation completes this journey into hatha yoga.
